JOE
HAINES
DOB: 4th September, 1991
One of the hottest
prospects in British speedway, the former Schoolboy Multi
Grass Track Champion had a superb 2007 winning almost everything
with near neighbours Scunthorpe while also hitting a near 9
point average in his first season. Joe is the kind of rider that
has a never say die attitude and will be a huge hit with the
Barracudas fans.

SIMON LAMBERT
DOB: 21st February, 1989
Simon who will
still only be 19 in the 2008 season has been a sensation for
Boston. Having started out as the team mascot, the teenager has
gone on to 6 Junior British finals. Ever present last season,
"Rambo " will be looking to produce the form he has shown in the
Conference for Boston at higher levels too in 2008.

MATT WRIGHT
DOB: 19th November, 1985
Twenty two year old Matt returns to the
Boston line up after his best season ever last time around. Matt was
the highest averaged rider away from home for the team in 2007 and
also jointly won the 'Fans Rider of the Year' for his on track
efforts. He will also captain the 2008 Staffsmart Barracudas in what
he describes as ' a big year ahead'.. |

DARREN MALLETT
DOB: 25th May, 1986
Darren had a good
season last year and will look to build on that this year in
what will all hope will be an injury free season. Darren is a
second generation Barracuda after farther Dennis turned out for
the Cudas in the 80's. One of the most talented riders around on
his day, he can and does beat anyone, especially around the
Norfolk Arena.

JAMIE SMITH
DOB: 20th July, 1983
Jamie, the 24 year old from Peterborough will be the club’s most
experienced rider in 2008 and will also race for Reading in the
Premier League. He
first started
speedway in 1996 in second half races before making his league debut
in the Conference League for Norfolk in 1998. Since then Jamie has
actually raced in all three tiers of British Speedway, albeit only
three matches in the Elite League. |

OLIVER RAYSON
DOB: 28th February, 1993
Oliver raced for King's Lynn in their 2007
Academy League side whilst also having second half rides at various
other tracks. He started riding speedway at the age of nine and has
also been racing grasstrack for over seven years, last season he
finished fourth in the British Final and also won 'Best Youth' for
Eastern Centre. |

ADAM LOWE
DOB: 17th February, 1989
Adam started riding speedway in 2002 when
he attended training sessions at Sheffield.
In 2004 Adam joined the
Southern Track Riders speedway club where he was the youngest rider
and won the Novice Championship that year. He rode for Boston in
2005 (and 2007) and for Stoke (Conference League) in 2006. |

JAMES COCKLE
DOB: 26th May, 1986
James
will be able to deputise for missing riders from the top five during
the Conference League campaign for Boston. James, from Edmonton,
could be a very busy racer in 2008 as he will line up in the Premier
League for Mildenhall whilst also being named as Peterborough
Panthers number eight in the Elite League. |

MARK THOMPSON
DOB: 8th July, 1979
Mark,
from Essex, began riding at Sittingbourne Training Schools and
also some second half races at Arena Essex. He made his debut for
the Anglian Angels in 1997 and has since raced Conference, Premier
and last season guested for Elite League Oxford. As with James, Mark
can come in for any of the Boston top five riders as a squad
replacement. |

DARREN ROLPH
DOB: 17th May, 1982
Twenty
five year old Darren hails from Braintree in Essex. He first started
riding speedway at Sittingbourne in 2001 although before that he had
plenty of experience of grass track racing. On his first attempt he
won the Eastern Centre Championship after moving up to the 500cc
class. He has raced speedway for Boston previously in 2003 and 2004
when he averaged around 8 points per meeting. |
